Wellington Christian School provides an atmosphere that fosters academic and spiritual learning. Teachers are the most important part of the curriculum. In kindergarten through fifth grade, all teachers hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with many teachers possessing graduate degrees. Teacher certification is required from the Florida Department of Education. Children receive specific attention that promotes outstanding academic performance. Every classroom receives assistance from a teachers aide every day.
Wellington Christian School's elementary programs are fully accredited through Christian Schools of Florida and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The programs consist of a challenging curriculum and creative learning approaches that include a fully biblically integrated approach. The elementary students learn from teachers who demand and expect the best but are also willing to meet students at their individual needs.
Wellington Christian School uses the A Beka and McMillan curriculum up through first grade. In second through fifth grades, the curriculum is more varied. The language arts program is a fully integrated creative writing and language mechanics program. The textbooks give language instruction in the odd numbered chapters and assigns applicable writing project in the even numbered chapters. Other subject areas are from various publishers with teachers using biblical integration to add personalization and spiritual application to the excellent academic presentations.
