Elementary Specials

"The Wheel"
The elementary school offers specials classes in Art, Computer, Music, and Physical Education to grades kindergarten through fifth. The Art, Computer and Spanish offerings are integrated together so that students can experience Spanish through Computers, Art through Spanish, and Art through Computers. These specials are offered on a rotating basis, also known as “The Wheel”, at specific times daily to each grade level. Having a specials class during the same time frame every day builds routine and positively affects quality of learning as academic time is maximized as a result of less interruptions.

Four year olds in our early childhood program also have specials incorporated into their day as they participate in music class. Additionally, our fifth graders have fine arts experiences, which may include band or choral classes.
