Susie Cohen

Mrs. Susie Cohen has been teaching in the State of Florida since 1994. She is certified in Elementary Education (grades 1-6) and is also ESOL endorsed. Before joining the Wellington Christian School instructional staff, she taught in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. There she served as lead teacher, grade level chairperson, and taught grades three through five, including fourth grade honors and gifted.

Mrs. Cohen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Christian Studies from Miami Christian College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Elementary Education from St. Thomas University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has served as adjunct professor at both Trinity International University and St. Thomas University. Her honors include Teacher of the Year nominee, Professional of the Year, Math Teacher of the Year and Gamma Epsilon Honor Society/Scholastic All-American Honor.

Mrs. Cohen is married and the proud mother of two girls, Christy and Kaitlyn. She is pleased to be a part of Wellington Christian School.
